The year is ending and DG fest is around the corner. The survey of the “Best of 2008” has been on the internet for a couple of months now. I would like to express my admiration to all the people who voted for their favorites. The number of votes has increased this year by almost 75 % as we reached until now over 200, 000 votes. Throughout the last 4 years since DG fest started I have not seen this enthusiasm from the fans for their loved ones. This only proves that DG fest has gained high reputation along the years for its credability and authenticity. I have to admt that this has not been achieved easily; it took hard work, determination and will to achieve such position.
If you missed the internet vote you still have a chance to vote for the best of 2008. Inside the magazine you will find a survey page that you can cut and send to us at our main office in Maadi.
All categories have witnessed very tough competition. The competitors’ websites have been very active by encouraging their fans to vote, explaining how to vote and the vote conditions.
It is worth mentioning that “The rising singer” for both male and female singer category have witnessed the toughest competition. Every day throughout the vote period we have monitored the changes. Mohamed Kamah, Issaf, Ahmed Al Sherif, Tamer Ashour and Bashar El Shatty are competing closely; in addition Shada Hassoun, Janat and Yara in the female rising singer category have very narrow difference of votes. There are many other close categories such the best actress and best singer and many more. Therefore don’t miss this last chance for casting your vote, send your vote to our office and we will definitely include it. Make sure that you have all the categories marked and that your email, name and telephone number are written for your vote to be counted.
DG fest 2008 marks the festival 5th anniversary and we are determined to make it more fascinating and mesmerizing. Good luck for all the competitors and I would like to thank DG team for the hard work and effort.
