You will always hear the term “added value” when it comes to Marketing &
selling tools; however do you think it’s entirely understood &
implemented?
Adding value is a fundamental theme of Marketing. Just as a chef creates
something which is worth more than the sum of its components - every business
tries to mix and transform ingredients so that they have somehow gained in
value. No two companies are identical. Each one combines slightly different
elements and strives to develop a unique selling point (USP) which is simply a
reason to buy from us rather than some body else. When a USP is hard to find in
a marketplace, a business will alternatively attempt to build up customer
loyalty by identifying the right mix of design, function, image and service.
