The world’s best chefs and pastry chefs gathered in Erfurt, Germany at IKA (International Exhibition of Culinary Art) 2008 to show their expertise and knowhow in culinary arts. A delegation of 6 “Culinary Ambassadors of Egypt” participated in the prestigious Culinary Olympics. A team of 3 chefs from InterContinental & Holiday Inn Cairo CityStars was formed under the supervision and training of Executive Sous Chef Hossam El Din Mohamed the. Chefs from both hotels won gold, Silver and bronze medals. Chef Artist Ramy Ahmed Mohamed and Chef de Partie Mina Sobhy Gaballah from InterContinental Cairo CityStars won 2 Gold Medals & 2 Silver Medals.
