Boosting Tourism

Recent Egyptian uprising and followed revolution emptied the hotels, beaches and bars of a tourist trade that employs one in eight Egyptians, bringing some of us to the state of desperation.

However, experts expect the recovery to be quick and the revolution to actually boost business in the long run. Different slogans, attracting tourists to come back to Egypt have been uniting the entire nation to help the country through its transition. In this situation, as like any revolution, everyone’s actions count! So what can we do to help our country?

Creative advertisements are the first and the most available method of attracting newcomers! Make it short, clear, catchy and in to the point.

• The second, however, the most obvious way to attract tourists to seashore hotels and resorts, is establishing great discounts for families, companies and single people, in order to show how much Egyptian tourism care about its future.

• Touristic Exhibitions are also a great idea for bigger companies.

• Mass media. Life videos, true stories, magazine articles are the best weapons to show a real situation in the country, make it clear that everything is back to normal and attract potential investors in the NEW and revived economy.

• Word of mouth. I am totally sure that every one of us has a relative or at least a friend living abroad, invite them to come, by saying that cities are safe, streets are clean and people are more inspired, cheerful and patriotic.

• Being active online in order to show foreigners that life has come back to the same fashion as it used to be prior to the revolution.

• Invest in Egypt’s future by embracing simple things on your own example. For instance, teach your children how to cross the road, how to create cleaner streets, how to be respectful towards others.

This is our country and as cleaner, safer and more polite it will be, more people will come to witness this magical transformation of the entire nation!

• And finally, rediscover Egyptian culture for yourself. Sure there are a lot of places you have not seen, a lot of dishes you want to try and plenty of resorts you have never visited - it is the best time to start opening your eyes for the new horizons. Well, this revolution will affect every part of life-sustaining activity of an average Egyptian, however, tourism will stay the same, after all Egypt is the most mysterious, attractive and ancient country with a mesmerizing history, which is still being written! Come back , I guarantee you will be impressed.
