A historic hostelry with a fascinating
heritage in the Burgundy wine capital
of Beaune, Hôtel Le Cep is a collection
of 14th to 18th century buildings
with a 16th century interior courtyard
overlooked by Italianate galleries and two pretty towers.
It also has a renowned restaurant with over 50 Burgundy
wines on the wine list. Expect a blend of historic charm
and classic French elegance, with comfortable inglenooks
and rooms and suites decorated with oil paintings and
antiques, some with wooden beams, canopied and fourposter
beds.
You will find Renaissance statues scattered
around the gardens, as well as an artesian well
in the courtyard.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the vaulted cellar
or the courtyard and then climb the winding
steps of the tower and admire views over the city
while you enjoy the fitness centre. Afterwards,
take a walk to the Hospices de Beaune, then
sample fine Burgundy wines with your meal at
Loiseau des Vignes.
