A selected team from representing the Semiramis InterContinental Cairo, ( Graham Dungy - Revenue, Maghraby Soliman Housekeeping and Hotel Syndicate, Emad Reda - Personnel , Marwa Salem - Marketing Communications, Amna Gamal El Din -Operators and Walid Kandil, Sales and Marketing joined an aid convoy organized by Dar El Orman to Aswan in support of families affected by torrential rains which flooded several villages leaving them without anything. Employees collected and bought food and blankets. The team spend a day in Aswan’s flood victims camps distributing food, blankets and donations collected by Semiramis InterContinental employees, in an effort to help those in need and doing the right thing. Upon the teams return the hotels staff and employees have vowed to go back again with more donations.

ExxonMobil Egypt delivers the third and prefinal batch of Chevrolet trucks to winners

During a large ceremony the winners of the 3rd batc of Chevrolet trucks were overwhelmed with joy after receiving a prize which is a source of livelihood and can offer them better work opportunities from ExxonMobil Egypt. 25 Chevrolet trucks were given to the third group of winners in the ExxonMobil Egypt “Mobil Delvac’s key to the treasure of 100 trucks” contest, launched in
November 2009. The main aim of the contest being a way to continue serving the community in which it operates through the indirect provision of new job opportunities for pickup truck drivers who have frequently dreamt of possessing a car to realize their dreams and create a better future for their families.

The Signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the Civil Society Organizations and a number of Governmental Bodies Covering the Area of Cairo South

The Cairo South has witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between representatives from civil society organizations and some governmental bodies like MOSS, Education and Health Departments operating in this region, which includes the districts of Maadi, Dar Al Salaam and Al Basateen. The meeting comes in light of coordinating different efforts and activities among civil society organizations that work in the fields of children’s issues and children with disabilities in particular, along with the concerned governmental bodies. This cooperation agreement aims at giving further assistance and support for children with disabilities in community development processes. This is in addition to encouraging the designing and implementing of a number of useful programs that ensure that the needs and requirements are met of this marginalized group in the community. Plan International Organization has sponsored this event and has collaborated between various concerned stakeholders to activate this cooperation.

Adidas Shoes for Abu-Treika to Assist him to Return soon to Fields

Ahly midfield star, Mohamed Abu-Treika returned from his visit to Germany where he had his special shoes made for him that carry the name “PREDATOR – X” to help him return soon to the fields after his stress fracture injury in his foot, and because of his extraordinary talent, adidas-International decided to make his tailor- made shoes. Abu-Treika was in Germany from January 14-19 where adidas organized a complete program for him in which he was accompanied by Dr. Ehab Aly, “Ahly Physician”, who was keen to be close to the star. The shoes have been specially designed for Abu-Treika after taking his footprint and accurate measurements using state-of-the art technologies in Europe that were in compliance with the instructions of the German expert who follows the case of Abu-Treika. Adidas used its huge capabilities in designing the shoes and Treika shall choose his favorite color. The new shoes shall assist Treika to appear soon on the fields to his fans who cannot wait for his return.

The Egyptian Travel Writers association hosted recently Dr. Zahi Hawass, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities at the Semiramis InterContinental.

 
As an archaeologist deeply concerned about the conservation and protection of Egypt’s monuments, Dr. Hawass discussed many issues concerning Egypt’s monuments including new discoveries, restorations and the new Antiquities law. Safir Hotels & Resorts soon in Aleppo–Syria

Safir Hotel’s Top Management consisting of Chairman Sheikh Fadel Al Sabah, Vice Chairman Fawzi K Al Musallam and CEO Helmut Meckelburg have returned from Aleppo Syria where they signed a new management and cooperation agreement between Safir Hotels & Resorts and Abdullah A. Shami, Chairman of Shami Group for Tourist Investment to manage the 5 Star Safir Al Shami Hotel in Aleppo. The hotel is being constructed in record time to be opened in early 2012. Mr. Stone visits Radisson Blu Sharm for the 20th time

 
Radisson Blu Resort Sharm El Sheikh has recently celebrated the 20th visit of Mr. & Mrs. Jeffery Stone to the hotel. Mr. Stone is a British citizen, who first visited the hotel in 2005 and since then he got fond of the Radisson Blu Sharm with more than 240 room night. In a nice gesture from the hotel, the general manager decided to plant a tree holding Mr. Stone’s name in remembrance of his loyalty to the hotel.
