Hilton Worldwide today announced the appointment of Emma Corcoran, who joins the company as Director, Corporate Communications, Middle East & Africa. In her new role, Corcoran will lead efforts to distinguish Hilton Worldwide as the preeminent global hospitality company throughout the Middle East & Africa region. Corcoran joins Hilton Worldwide from InterContinental Hotels Group where she most served as the Global Communications Director, overseeing worldwide internal communication programs and consumer campaigns. Prior to InterContinental, Corcoran spent five years at Amey, one of the UK’s leading public service providers. The Coca-Cola Company and the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Egypt joined forces with the Ocean Conservancy and their employees, external partners, and volunteers to make a positive difference in Egypt by cleaning up a beach in Ain Al Soukhna. The clean-up is part of a global partnership between Coca-Cola and the Ocean Conservancy to reduce litter on beaches around the world. Beginning in 2009, Coca-Cola began its clean-up efforts in Ain El Soukhna, located near the Suez Canal. Ain Al Soukhna was chosen as it serves as one of Egypt’s sparkling Red Sea hot spots, a key tourist area in the summer and one of Cairo’s closest beaches visited daily by more than 5000 people.

Mövenpick Resort Taba hosted PADI international to help the undersea environment as part of the environmental sustainability programme, which is one of its main priorities. In its efforts for environmental sustainability, notably the underwater environment, Movenpick Resort Taba hosted the international PADI Project Aware organisation in a combined effort through the hotel’s diving centre. On 11th September at 14.30pm 20 divers went 25 metres underwater to collect any rubbish or fishing lines stuck among the fascinating coral reefs in the deep waters. After the dive, the management team welcomed them back and congratulated them on making a difference to the environment. Football Tournament for Sheraton Cairo Departments
Eleven teams & 70 players from Human Resources, Front Office, Health Club, Casino, Food & Beverages, Housekeeping, Accounting, Laundry, Kitchen and Parking joined the tournament. The competition which lasted ten days resulted with Casino’s team winning and obtaining the Sheraton Championship Cup and the Golden medals, while the Housekeeping came at the Second place and won the Silver medals.
