Need to recharge your batteries and set your energy in motion ?

Read on to discover how the secret to revolution resilience and vitality comes down to simple perseverance…
So, it’s been some time since this revolution began – the euphoria of ousting Mubarak has gradually diminished and the hard realities of post-revolutionary life are ruthlessly settling in. I constantly ask myself, is there a secret to going from tired to inspired, and staying there?

These days, it appears that vitality is as elusive as discount Chloe’. In all honestly, it’s one of those things you hear others gloating about possessing, but never seem to have yourself, and I’m in disarray wondering where our new-found vitality as a nation has gone.

I know I’m not alone when I complain that lately my energy tank always seems to be on empty. Who could blame me? I mean with everyone apprehensively talking about the widening gap of the rich and poor, the destruction of the middle class, our economic future after the revolt, uncovering immense corruption, and the small minority of impatient new-found desires to stand in front of the above-the-law mentality of prevailing corporate elites. At the same time as others, are expecting everything to be solved overnight.

I’ve noticed of late, more and more people are feeling overworked, overtired, and overcome by life’s demands. We just do not have the energy we need to meet our responsibilities to the people we care about. It seems that a constant feeling of fatigue has become part of our way of life.

Many people admit that work-related stress generates most of their fatigue and getting a regular eight hours of sleep is wishful thinking. But realistically, most of us are neither willing nor able to change our demanding schedules to squeeze in extra forty winks. But if each individual could simply chip away at the box in which we got ourselves into, and sneak a quick look outside, then together we can create a system with all our perception combined. Somewhat of an overall eye-opener can be created.

In our existing chaotic, fast-paced world, many people deal with repeated stress. Stress wreaks havoc on our emotional stability, as well as our physical health. It narrows our ability to think clearly, function effectively, and literally enjoy life. I mean I realize that various things in life are beyond our control. The bills aren’t going to stop coming, there will never be more hours in the day for all your responsibilities, and your career will always be challenging. But that doesn’t mean we must succumb to all the external pressure. When stress is getting you down, go for a walk, spend time in nature, stop watching the news, write in your journal and take a moment to reflect on all the things you appreciate in life. Accept the fact that we live in an imperfect world and learn to free yourself from negative energy. This simple strategy helps you keep things in perspective. No doubt Egyptians are hopeful and a large amount of the population can see a bright future – but at this point in my opinion, this is an unqualified optimism as it will be a bumpy road – and although there are no illusions, I believe we ought to at least try to enjoy the journey.

TIME Magazine has called our revolution “the unfinished revolution”. And although the global revolution was spawned in Egypt – unless we finish what we started, unless we are able to bring real democracy to our country, I cannot see the rest of the world moving forward. And while the anarchy is spreading – Egypt is the world’s beacon of hope, every Egyptian standing up for human dignity is an activist, this revolution will continue – and our innovative purity will conquer all corruption of collaborator’s both local and abroad. So, with the sensible understanding of the Egyptian revolution, we can truly create everlasting change, we can create the path to an unknown future – a system created by the Egyptian people, for the Egyptian people…
